These workshops are open to all Kindergarten to Grade 3 and Early Childhood Educators

Event Details

This professional learning session will provide Early Years and Kindergarten to Grade 3 educators opportunities to explore effective learning strategies that purposefully integrate skills and concepts related to mathematical thinking with scientific inquiries and design and build challenges (technological problem solving).

Participants will:

  • gain hands-on experience with scientific inquiries and design and build (technological problem solving) challenges that integrate skills and concepts related to mathematical thinking  in a meaningful way.
  • learn how science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) support development of students’ critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration skills.
  • meet and collaborate with colleagues and engage in meaningful discussions that support program planning in early STEM education.

Session Fee: $50. Includes a full day of professional learning, morning refreshments, lunch, parking and classroom posters to support inquiry and problem solving.
